Hi there, I’m Sarah Wittman!

I’m a queer-affirming therapist in Kansas City, passionate about providing a safe, nonjudgmental space for LGBTQIA+ individuals, folks in non-monogamous and kink/BDSM communities, artists, and service industry professionals. I know firsthand how transformative it is to work with someone who truly gets it—who understands the unique challenges, joys, and complexities of living authentically. That shared understanding builds trust, safety, and the foundation for deep, meaningful growth.

I work with teens, adults, and people in relationships who are motivated for change and looking for a therapy experience that’s holistic, client-centered, and culturally competent. Whether you're exploring your identity, navigating nontraditional relationships, healing from trauma, or managing life transitions, I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and a trauma-informed lens. My goal is to help you feel empowered in your healing, honoring your lived experiences while supporting you in developing the tools and insights that work best for you. Therapy should be a collaborative, affirming space where you feel seen, heard, and valued exactly as you are.

I also understand the impact of systemic oppression, stigma, and societal pressures—especially on LGBTQIA+ and marginalized communities. Because of this, I integrate an anti-oppressive, sex-positive, and strengths-based approach into our work together. Your experiences are valid, and your healing should be just as unique as you are.

Outside of therapy? You’ll find me making music, exploring Kansas City’s vibrant arts and food scene, laughing at terrible puns, and spending time with my two cats—who, despite their small size, absolutely run my household.
